Hi all

does anyone have a door hinge pin removal tool

I need to take my door pins out to fit new ones that will accommodate my new mirrors, I have tried punching them out with hammer and punch, but not moving.

thanks

Nope sorry Matt, either soak it in oil or motorbike chain grease over night and give it a go, heat gun is the other way but your not going to want to do that on your nice new paintwork.

no they are quite rare to find I think someone on one of the forums was hiring one out but it was quite expensive. As daz says heat may be the only way out. I have a similar problem on a beetle door that needs doing and tried all sorts of things and it won't budge. so blow torch next!!.
Perhaps you could press it out if you have access to a bearing press? I did a van one by jacking the bus up and then using its weight to push the pin out but they weren't rusted solid.
cheers
