Look what arrived today.

No, not the long awaited engine but something just as exciting.

ROOFRACK.


Spoke to fellow club member Keith at Viccy Farm regarding roofracks and he kindly offered to fabricate one, so took some pics and measurements of the one we wanted and as soon as he got back he sarted work on it, infact 2 racks.
Today finally picked it up and trial fitted it onto the panel and guess what it fitted like a glove in the gutters, no bending brackets to fit, Keith,s workmanship and detail is
Fantastic and i,m really chuffed.
All thats left is getting the powder coating done when the other rack is finished and having both done at the same time, looking at getting them done in a matt mid-grey finish, and trying to find some black bungs to go in the ends.
Here is a few pics with the rack on the panel and hopefully you will agree what a great job Keith has done. oopps forgot to mention, 90% sure we will not have to take it off to get it into and out of the garage.

I have a funny feeling that Mr Maher will be in contact very,very shortly (i can feel it in my waters as they say) on the otherhand i could be way off mark.

that takes the piss he hasnt even started yet! id cancel and get one from somewhere else to be honest

Imagine deposit is already paid so they would loose it Liam, agree though would be tempted to elsewhere otherwise but you will end up with a cracking engine at the end of it. I am the other way round got a nice 1776 sitting waiting for me but no van

well at least you have a date now but as Liam says its takes the piss abit at least at the end of it though you should have a super engine. Hope he keeps to the dates and is not fobbing you off . cheers owen
