Mechanic in Andover area
I have done lots of the work on my 76 Bay (Darren) however it dawned on me that I have never renewed the Fuel Lines in the 5 Years I have owned him. This is the sort of work I would like to pay someone else to do to be sure it is done right.
Can someone suggest an Aircooled VW Specialist in the local area?

Peter Howard @ Martins VW London Road VW Garage andover.
Paul Wisk @ Paul Wisk resto's andover.
Kev Howard might do it he's an independent will try and dig his number out.
It is quite easy though once your tank is low, best to get marine grade fuel hose I know these guys sell it http://www.volksbolts.com/index.htm

Hi Andoverben,
If its the fuel lines from the tank to the carb (or Carbs) it is quite wasy to do yourself as I did it on my bay (also a 76) not long after we bought it. I believe there are some sections behind the tank itself which is a tank removal job and one of those things you do when the engines out.
You can use the original as templates and buy good quality hose and correct clips (I ended up using a solid pipe section through the fire wall) and also good idea to replace the sections on the breather pipe.
Otherwise all of Daz's suggestions will be able to help and Pete Howard worked wonders with sorting out our distrubutor issues

Don't be put off by it being a main dealer Peter Howard runs the MOT bay he likes working on classics and has a good reputation he has done a lot of work on Aircooled Konnection cars over the years including my own.
Paul doesn't really do engine stuff but he will do stuff like fuel lines I am sure.
