One of the new things their supposed to check for is a positive stop on the steeing. As standard these are built into the spindles on busses but when thier dropped then this feature is lost meaning the only steering stop is when the wheel hits something
Was just going to weld some bar between the beam tubes either side of the pivot arm and have bolts that adjust so the arm hits the bolts limiting the steering

Re: MOT at Stoford garage
From the overview of MOT regulations post
Steering Lock Stops
All aircooled vehicles have a steering lock stop as standard. These
steering lock stops prevent the road wheel from coming into contact with
the body of the vehicle on full lock. Many cars which have been fitted
with aftermarket front suspension such as narrowed beams have not been
fitted with steering lock stops and tyre to inner arch contact is
commonplace. If your vehicle doesn’t have steering lock stops then you
should have them fitted before the MOT.

MOT
Took the bus out for its first run out along the 303 to the garage and noticed a lot of smoke from the back, pulled over and noticed a puddle of oil on the floor, topped up required, crawled over to garage and got it sorted, to embarrassed to say on a open forum what it was, anyway passed MOT with a few quite words to get a few things sorted out.
Did,nt push it coming home but pulls great.
