Am about to undertake the quarter light seals on my bus, have got CE ones to put in but heard this can be a difficult job to do, any tips appreciated. Just done the door top seals which was fairly easy.

Thanks

If you lucky they will come straight out otherwise expect a lot of swearing, some form of lubricant and a rubber hammer comes in very handy for getting back in.

Thanks Daz, Vasaline and Silicon spray and a rubber mallet, sounds like i may wait a while until the weather improves.

Bought a quarterlight seal five yrs ago and never got round to fitting it so will be interested to see how you get on with them. Like you said probably need to do it in warmer weather or perhaps warm them up in hot water first to make them more supple.

Hi Owen

Yes warmed the door top seals in warm water today and fitted them using silicon spray, worked a treat so will do the quarterlight seals the same way, will let you know how it goes.
