Guess you have had it checked over now Ron, might have the front tinware will have to check, what spark plugs were recommend I know there are two types of Bosch the W8's and I think the longer reach were W7 possibly had them on the 2165 otherwise I have used NGK before with no ill affect.

Hi Daz
Engine not checked over yet, getting all the parts required and then sending it up to a guy that works for Rocket Ron at endagered spiecies ( oops spelling ) anyway i hope to have nearly everything soon, not sure if i need long reach plugs, i need info on that but was only reading up on things and came accross it, have heard of the W8.Will be booking Hidden valley for Big Sunday tomorrow, guys name is Rich 01271 813837, Bob says the guy may give discounts for camping, we are going to go on the Friday and come back on the Monday so if anyone else is thinking of going call the number, speak to Rich and say Bob Burrows passed on the number for camping discounts, We can only ask eh.

Many thanks Simon

Re: playing in the Garden/ Boys toys
Probably got odd bits knocking around if you get stuck Ron, with those engine studs ,best to get new ones got ones on an old engine case but they are often hard to get out. Watch out for the front tin ware there are loads o f different types that don't always fit together esp the front pulley tin, best to do a trial fit once you get the bits just in case.

Re: playing in the Garden/ Boys toys
Hi All
Yes i am on the scrounge AGAIN, Just been playing with the full flow bits and have noticed the pully tinware was cut to bits so now its Useless, someone had cut a rectangle out of it where the oil pump cover fits, anyway its U/S, Now i am looking for the under pulley tinware and the tinware with 2 air holes and possibly no pre-heat but could get them welded over perhaps, have already bought repro stuff for under the engine and its cheap and cheerfull but Crap, any help appreciate, i have the bottom pulley tinware which i have not thown away YET and i have an OG rear engine part ? with 3 air holes and the pre-heat gaps for swap for rear tinware with 2 air holes, anything appreciate, buy or swap.
Bought the Oil hose fittings etc from Heritage to have a 90 degree from the engine case, existing Barbs were 1/2" so ordered them from Heritage, they sent them and they are TOO BIG, more like 5/8th so sending them back, anyone know if they can be sourced in Andover or engineering company that makes them along with the hoses ?

Re: playing in the Garden/ Boys toys
Thought i would put it back together again, getting good at this now i think, it has highlighted to me that Pulley Tinware and Rear Engine Tinware is no good, maybe a change of mind from Mechanical fuel pump to an Electric fuel pump, My full flow oil system needs a 90 degree outlet, anyway i got the Clutch fitted and the new Heat Exchangers on today so i am progressing all be it at slow/snail pace.
