Hi guys, looking to replace the engine seal, left and right side of engine.
Couple of questions for you guro,s amongst you.
1, Does the engine tinware slide between the rubber faps, as i,ve see alot of engines where both flaps are both on top of the tinware.
2, i bought some of the engine seal from Schofields and notice that the seal i took out from the engine bay was a good 8mm wider than schofields and wondered would this be a problem, also it was,nt as hard.
A couple of pics.

The engine tinware should go in the middle of the rubber with it overlapping either side, doesn't matter that it is smaller as long as there are no gaps the idea is to act as a seal keep the cool zone cool and the hot zone hot. The rubber goes hard with age so not to worry.
