The Oak at Smannell have a lovely conservatory that is separate to the pub that's holds max 30 people. The food is very good, not too far out to get a couple of mini buses for people who do not want to drive, I know it's £7 in a taxi. They do a 3 course Christmas menu with 5 choices for each course for £23. I will contact them today to ask what availability they have. X

Another venue could be the Bell at Weyhill, just been there again for a Sunday roast, the food is so good, plenty of space to cater for us all. I asked about Xmas dinner but the manager was not there today, I was told they are just getting their flyers printed for Xmas, & told me to ring & speak to the manager but they would love to have us there.

Hi I have just spoken with the Oak at Smannell who are happy to accommodate us on either sat 5th or sat 12th dec, they do not usually do Xmas dinners on sat night but as there will be 20+ we can have the whole conservatory just for us. They do eith a 2 course main & dessert or 3 course with starter, complementary tea, coffee & mince pies, just a £5 deposit per person to secure rest paid on the night food order 2 weeks before the date, what do people think?

Me and Lydia will both be there, I will get our menu choices up soon.

We need to make sure when we place menu options that the Restaurant know Lydia is Gluten Free. ( I have spoken to them yesterday and they can cope with it)

thanks
