Date feedback for x mas party
Hi all
We have looked at options for Xmas party but venues want cash up front for bookings, I think we need feedback from members who would like to attend the Xmas party and
dates they can make it otherwise we can't really book a venue, if anyone has ideas of venues they would like then please post up here as an option, then we can go with Majority, most venues either require full payment up front for the booking so please bear that in mind as I don't know the outcome should those that cancel on getting money refunded.
Options
The Oak at Smannel
Chillies
Butters Cafe
Please add options
Ron

AK Xmas party
Hi all, as Ron said we have looked at a few venues but most want all cash up front or a deposit so we really need to know numbers, thanks. I have been speaking to the owner at Butters in town by day it's a cafe & at night it's a wine bar. We could have the venue just for us at no charge as long as we eat & drink there. They have an Xmas menu of 4 choices starters, roast turkey dinner & choice of 4 deserts for £14.99 cheaper if you only want 2 courses, they will also run their normal food menu for those that do not want Xmas dinner. The only date they have free though is Friday 5th Dec. if anyone else has any ideas ( Daz Chillies ) please let us know as time is running out to book somewhere, thanks.

Re: AK Christmas Party
Butters sounds interesting and would be a good option abit early I know but at least it shouldn't clash with other xmas parties etc. Also might be easier to add people at the last minute if we have the place to ourselves. Happy either way

Re: AK Christmas Party
Thanks for organising the Christmas Party! 'must be like herding Cats -- sorry i've not replied earlier
So, Me too Me too! -- (and possibly Costa, though I think he has visitors arriving on Friday the 5th Dec)
But Yes It'll be nice to see you all and I can definitely make it -- if there's still time to book a spare seat.
Thanks again, Ross

Re: AK Christmas Party
Hi guys, sorry with late reply not been too well. I have messaged Butters to see if we can still have the venue to ourselves on the 5th, not too sure as there are only around 18 of us. I have asked if not, can we still have our Xmas party there if people are ok with that. I will post on here as soon as I get a reply they are usually pretty quick.

AK Christmas Party
Butters have just come back to me to say that we do not have enough numbers to have the whole venue but they can do us one big table to ourselves with Xmas bits on the table.
They do think they may have a singer that night though & are waiting on conformation from her, I don't know if this will make a difference with people as may be bit loud, they usually do 2 x 45 mins stints. Would be great if people can give some feedback on this in case we have to look else where. Thanks.

Re: AK Christmas Party
Ha ha, like the herding cats comment :-)
I'm good for the 5th but may only be me as we struggle for babysitters, but I'll also check with Steve if he is coming as well
If it's another night should be ok but the calendar is getting busy which I guess everybody is the same.
If it's too much hassle before Christmas then why not have a belated meal/club meet in January and book butters out complete? They might be quiet in January and would welcome the trade - just a thought.

Re: AK Christmas Party
Hi everyone, I am going to book Butters for our Xmas party on Friday 5th Dec, it would be very helpful if people could let me know on here if they would like traditional Christmas dinner or something from the main menu, e.g burgers, chilli nachos, chicken skewers, scampi, lasagne, just normal pub grub really but Stuart at Butters needs to know a.s.a.p please, thanks.
