all home from Wolfsburg
Can only speak for myself but amazing time over the last 10 days, broke down on the way in Belgium, spun a hub, got it fixed by buying parts from BBT, hiring a car to collect, mad drive to catch everyone up at Hessisch, then onto Wolfsburg, mind blowing to say the least, Broke down on the way home at 50km outside Dunkirk, Accelerator cable snapped, quick fix with my spare cable,,,NOT,,was an inch short but stretch to fit with high revs, got me home though. a Huge thanks to all those concerned in keeping me on the road, it could easily have ended in Blegium on the way there.
Carl, Helen, Owen, Josh, Dave, BBT, ETC, so gratefull to all those who help me along the way and back, my engine is good but the the other bits let me down,,TIP FOR A BUST CABLE,,,,carry choc block electrical connectors,,wish i had thought of that at the time...AT LEAST WE MADE THE FERRY,,, Near 2k miles all done,,what a Blast. Our support team were AMAZING ALL THE WAY THERE AND BACK AND WE SAVED THEM SO MUCH MONEY ON FUEL. XX

As Ron says we had a blast unbelievable if there is a vw heaven we have been there the last week or more. Huge thank you to Carl and Helen for organising everything and acting as the back up vehicle and safety car for us but please don't mention 75mpg again please. This is what these vws we designed for so it was good to put them to good use stretch them and ourselves abit think I will be taking a spare rear hub next time just in case!!.

Re: all home from Wolfsburg
OK, I won't mention 75 mpg again as we did 85 mpg on the way home!!!!
But believe us we would much preferred to be in the van. It was an awesome trip in every way, from our adventures, factory tours, food and of course Hessisch.
We will try to post up some pics over the weekend....been busy catching up with washing, collecting our bits & pieces from our helpful friends, and now getting ready for the Tour de France next week.

Re: all home from Wolfsburg
Been home almost a week now and wishing to head over the channel soon.
Lots of memories to savoir,
Best were, BBT in Belgium, convoy to Hessich, the town full of vehicles, Wolfsburg Factory tour, fellow travellers, relaxing over a coffee in the square, people watching, and one of the best, the first curry Owen and Josh made for us, awesome.
Worst bit, missing Erna and Terri and Joe:(
Here is a few pics i took.
