LOLA - 67 ragtop bug
this is my first car, she is a 67 (crossover) ragtop bug. she runs a 1300 twin port block, with 1600 barrels and pistons, other than that she fairly standard engine wise. we brought her back in june, and been planning on a resto to bring back all her glory. she was used for a mates wedding soon after buying her.
she has been lowered (speed bumps are a no go, ha) and is rolling on 4 spoke speedwell BRMs. planning a rewire for the next few weeks. i have already had a lot of suggestions on somewhere to get the body all restored and painted (want to spray her the same colour, java green, but all the paint on her is cracking and the body needs some tlc), but looking somewhere where i can get a decent restoration and hopefully not cost an arm and a leg. so open to any other suggestions...
she running at the moment tho and have driven her once or twice as ive only recently turned 17. any problems ive had so far haven't been mechanical really, just problems with wiring, just it being too old and needing replacing. so lots to do but hoping she will turn out a great car.

thanks, yea that was the day i picked it up. well she ready to go, but a working project, you know what its like, as the owner, you always seem to find something that you want to change or restore. especially classics, constant up keep, thats the fun of it tho. want her ready for shows nxt year. went to the big bang in april in my dads T5, first show i had been to and sadly all the rain caused the strip to be too wet for racing and the sunday got called off. real shame i had been told that its never usually like that. all ready for nxt year tho.

Cool looking good and much more electrikery albeit, just a bit of advice those air filters are junk in the winter . . better off with stock oil bath filter in the colder months and that is not the safest place to run your fuel filter.

Would run it as it comes in from the firewall somewhere not over anything giving electricity.
