washer needed for engine case Empty washer needed for engine case

I've stripped my engine, cleaned it all up and now re-assembling, but I'm missing a couple of washers for one of the six main bearing studs! I dusted off the metal-detector and found one of them on the gravel drive (amongst other metal debris!) where I was cleaning the case, but I just can't find the other one. Looks like there are 'case kits' available for around £30 that contain everything to join a case together...but I just need a washer.

From what I can remember, they're a certain size/thickness and not that common. Any ideas where I can get one?

I called in to SWG Ltd. in Newbury today, told the guy what I needed and he came back with a selection which he gave me for free. After looking at my T-shirt (camper) he said, "I take it it's for a Beetle/Camper engine? If it was for a BMW, I'd have charged you a tenner!"

Turns out he loves veedubs (doesn't own one though) after holidaying in Cornwall.
