Veronica’s Woes: A Tale of Two Restos for our ‘67 RHD Walkthrough Split
As many of you know, Helen and I took our bus (Veronica) off the road after Vanfest 2015 and embarked on a full resto. Via Daz, then Justin and then Phil we met and have been working with the superb welder / fabricator / painters at Beresford Bodytech = https://www.facebook.com/Beresford-Bodytech-195120997493208/?fref=ts
The full story is unfolding on an SSVC build thread. But whilst I have a quite few hours away I want to share the link here too >> http://www.ssvc.org.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=117648&p=887214#p887214
Helen and I have owned ‘Veronica’ for 13 years and we have known all along that our bus was not ‘quite right in how it had been repaired and kept on the road all those years ago. I suspect this work was done in the 90s and just maybe that made it ok, if the panels so beautifully available now weren’t on offer then then I guess owners just did what they could. We know very little history of our bus before the 90s but as a UK vehicle, she is sure to have lived a little in all weathers.
And so this is Veronica’s second resto with us – the first time to get her on the road and this time a full one with some real horrors to sort out. We have been going since March and this unfolding story is being told as fast as I can dig out the pics amongst work, workshop time almost every other night, weekends and online shopping time.
All comments on here and SSVC are welcome.
